Author Kate Spencer will be at Knaresborough library on Wednesday, 16 October, to talk about her life as a writer and her novel, Being Daisy.
Kate started writing in the 1970s while raising three young children. Her career has spanned journalism, travel writing, theatre reviewing and script editing as well as producing, directing, teaching and radio presenting. Born in this country, she has lived and worked in Turkey, France, Greece, Los Angeles and New Zealand.
Being Daisy is set in the 1960s and follows the adventures of Daisy, pregnant and married at 17, as she navigates love, sex, marriage, kids, abuse and divorce with irrepressible humour and optimism.
