Mobile library hosts wellbeing drop-in sessions

A charity that supports residents with mental or physical health issues across Ryedale is hosting wellbeing drop-in sessions on the County Council’s Supermobile library.

Next Steps Resource Centre, based in Norton, is running four sessions:

  • Friday, 5 July, from 10am to noon at Sheriff Hutton (at the village hall car park);
  • Friday, 5 July, from 2pm to 4pm at Slingsby (on the green, adjacent to Porch House);
  • Monday, 8 July, from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Weaverthorpe (opposite the village hall); and
  • Monday, 8 July, from 2pm to 4pm at Sherburn (at the village hall car park).

Next Steps is a user-led organisation working with GPs and community health teams. Its aim is to develop self-confidence, improve social prospects and access to statutory services as well as to help promote positive family relationships and prevent social isolation and loneliness.

The charity offers a range of events and activities and hosts weekly rural groups at venues across Ryedale.
