The Police, Fire and Crime Panel will next be meeting on Thursday 14th October 2021 at 10:30am.

This is a scheduled meeting of the Panel with the Commissioner and colleagues.  It had been intended that this would be an in person meeting, with Covid secure measures in place. However, this would have entailed a strict limitation on the numbers of people able to attend.

Following the high level of interest expressed to the Panel by members of the public and reporters from the press wishing to attend, the decision has been made to hold this meeting online and for it to be live broadcasted and recorded.  This measure is in place to ensure full transparency of proceedings to the wider public, without having to restrict numbers present during the pandemic.

Anyone who would like to watch the meeting can do so via the County Council’s website.

Any member of the public who would like to put a question or statement to the Panel should submit the question in advance by emailing before midday on 11th October, so that it may be considered for inclusion in the meeting.

Please note that the Panel is unable to consider questions or statements for the Commissioner. The Panel’s rules on public questions are available here.

Panel Members will not be commenting further at this stage regarding the recent statements made by the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner in respect of the Sarah Everard case.  The Panel meeting on the 14th will provide an opportunity for this matter to be properly explored and for Members to ask questions or give views at that point.

Press queries should be directed through the NYCC Communications team at
