A person who exhibits or trains any performing animal must be registered by law.

It is an offence for an unregistered person to exhibit or train a performing animal.

Exhibiting takes place at any entertainment to which the public are admitted on payment or otherwise, and the definition of train means to train for the purpose of any such exhibition.

The registration process requires information such as the general nature of the performance in which the animals are to be exhibited or trained and any apparatus which is used for the performances.
