YSH have been gradually re-introducing face-to-face services in as safe a manner as possible. Walk-in appointments are currently not available – all appointments must be booked via the central booking team.

Horizons – Drug and Alcohol Service
Horizons is still providing a service, and prioritising delivery of the Single Point of Contact, Needle Exchange and provision of Naloxone, and pharmacological treatment. Psychosocial support is being delivered via telephone and/ or digital means. The service offer will continue to evolve as government guidance changes. Horizons is working with partners across the system to meet needs as safely as possible.
North Yorkshire Adult Weight Management Service (tier 2)
The Adult Weight Management Service has started taking referrals again, from GP practices. All face to face delivery of the service has ceased, and is instead provided via a ‘remote service offer’ (e.g. telephone, Skype).
The service offers health assessments, nutritional information and advice, behaviour change support, and home-based physical activity support. The social contact offered through the remote service offer will be particularly important in supporting emotional wellbeing of clients.
For more information please contact the individual service providers here.
NHS Health Check Programme
Following national guidance, delivery of NHS Health Check programme is now able to resume across North Yorkshire. The physical clinical test aspect of the service will remain as face to face, however alternative delivery methods for follow up may be more appropriate to take into account staff / patient safety, time and resource.
Warm and well single point of contact
The Warm and Well single point of contact (SPOC) provides support via the telephone and internet to help North Yorkshire residents who are living in or at risk of a cold home, fuel poverty or struggling to afford their energy bills.
