Health Visiting and School Nursing Services - provided by Harrogate District Foundation Trust

All essential activity for the service has been reviewed and alternative methods for contacting families outside of home visiting or community delivery are in place. Please refer to the website for team contacts should you have a query relating to an individual child. 

Whilst they will aim to continue to visit you at home they may need to provide an  alternative virtual method of contact, which could include: Telephone, FaceTime and Social Media Platforms. (pdf / 426 KB)

North Yorkshire Sexual Health Services YorSexualHealth (YSH)

Until further notice all walk in services are suspended and face to face appointments will be kept to a minimum to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This means that you are unable to be seen without talking to the central booking team.

Horizons – Drug and Alcohol Service

Horizons is still providing a service, and prioritising delivery of the Single Point of Contact, Needle Exchange and provision of Naloxone, and pharmacological treatment. Psychosocial support is being delivered via telephone and/ or digital means. The service offer will continue to evolve as Government guidance changes. North Yorkshire Adult Weight Management Service (tier 2)

The Adult Weight Management Service has ceased face to face delivery of any element of the Service for clients currently accessing the Service. The Service has ceased taking on any new referrals however, providers are take referral details of new clients and maintain a waiting list.

Providers of the Service across the county are develop and providing a ‘remote service offer’ of telephone, Skype, Facebook Live, Zoom platforms. The remote service offer will include contact for triage, health assessments, nutritional information and advice, behaviour change support, home-based physical activity support. The social contact offered through the remote service offer will be particularly important in supporting emotional wellbeing of clients.

Healthy Choices – Children and Family Weight Management Service

The Healthy Choices service is currently unable to provide face to face sessions and support. The service will be contacting all existing clients to offer alternative forms of support such as telephone contact or where possible, Skype or Facetime. The service will not be taking on any new referrals now, for the unforeseeable future, however families are welcome to contact the service to record their interest. For more information please contact the Healthy Choices team on 01609 798081 or keep up to date with any future changes in circumstances to the service.

NHS Health Check Programme

Local authorities are the commissioners of the NHS Health Check Programme and they have a contractual relationship with providers. Given the current situation and national guidance we accept there will be a clear impact on the ability to continue to provide the NHS Health Check Service as per specification, therefore we accept for this period they will be a reduction in activity levels.

Warm and well single point of contact

The Warm and Well single point of contact (SPOC) helps people who live in cold homes by providing access via the internet and telephone to help North Yorkshire residents living in or at risk of a cold home, fuel poverty or struggling to afford their energy bills. Referrals can be made either by professionals or by individual householders. This service will continue to operate and provide support to households.

Living Well Smokefree

Living Well Smokefree is currently being delivered via a 'remote offer' for all existing/new clients. There will be no face to face assessments or weekly sessions offered. They will be contacting all existing clients to work through an alternative offer of support via telephone contact. They are taking new referrals as normal and an assessment will be completed to ensure that the right support can be offered at this time or your interest will be recorded and contact will be made when the service is fully operational again. Please contact Living Well Smokefree on 01609 797272 if you need to discuss anything further.
