Coronavirus (Covid-19) update

Most libraries in North Yorkshire are expect to reopen on, or shortly, after Monday 12 April, to enable customers to browse and to choose their own books. Safeguards will be in place - Customers will need to wear face coverings, hand sanitiser will be available, the Track and Trace system will operate and numbers will be limited.

Finding the library, parking and access

The library is situated in the Limestone View extra care housing facility, a five minute walk from the marketplace, next to Greenfoot car park and opposite the Rugby Club. Settle is served by a regular bus service and a train station is nearby.

Free parking is available at Limestone View and on-street parking is outside the library. The nearest long stay car park is Greenfoot car park, which is pay and display. A small ramp up the entrance of Limestone View allows wheelchair access.

Items available from the library

You can borrow a range of books for all ages in a variety of formats, including large print and audio. Music CDs, DVDs and foreign language titles are also available for loan, as well as micro:bits. You can request any item that is not immediately available.

Class visits

Class visits to the library may be organised.

Book group

A regular book group meets in the library, on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 2pm (except December).

Knit and natter

The knit and natter group meets fortnightly on the first and third Thursday of the month at 2pm.

Talk series

The authors and poets talk series takes place on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2pm.
