Hundreds of vacancies on offer at jobs fair

Hundreds of vacancies will be on offer from local employers at a job fair at Castle Howard, near Malton, on Wednesday, 27 September.

This will be a jobs fair for all. As well as welcoming all job seekers, the event could be of particular interest to people such as pensioners who might want to supplement their pension with a few hours work each week, students from local universities and colleges looking for weekend and holiday work or school leavers who have decided that work could be the correct route for them.

The event will be focused on hospitality, with employers such as Castle Howard, which alone has more than 80 vacancies, Forest Holidays and Flamingoland, as well as support services such as the Wheels to Work Scheme, which can help people living in rural areas to get to work.

The event will take place between noon and 2pm at Castle Howard. For more information, email business.rye@northyorks.gov.uk

We are providing a free bus service to the event. This will depart from:

  • Pickering, Eastgate car park, at 10.40am;
  • Kirkbymoorside marketplace at 11am; and
  • Helmsley marketplace at 11.15am.

A free return bus will leave Castle Howard at 2.30pm, returning to all of the above locations.

Everyone attending the job fair will get free access to house and gardens at Castle Howard.
