Concession categories and accepted evidence from 1 April 2026

Concession Proof required on application
Student concession: Full time student or apprentice Official documentation of your status as a full time student such as an enrolment letter or student card
Senior concession: Aged 67 or over Official documentation showing your date of birth, such as a driving licence, passport, bus pass or pension credit book/letter
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Award letter confirming entitlement
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) Award letter
Attendance Allowance Award letter
Universal Credit Notification letter and recent bank statement showing payment
Housing Benefit Award letter dated on or after 1 April of the current financial year
Council Tax Reduction Reduction letter and Council Tax bill showing rebate
Pension Credit Award letter
Income Support Award letter (replaced by Universal Credit from 1 April 2026)
Jobseekers Allowance Qualifying stamp on application form (replaced by Universal Credit from 1 April 2026)
Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Award letter (replaced by Universal Credit from 1 April 2026)

Pay as you go concessions

Concessionary prices are listed on pages where these are available, find sessions and activities at Skipton Leisure and Wellbeing Hub.

If you qualify for concessionary pricing, you can apply for a free concession card. This card means you will not need to show proof of your eligibility every time you visit us. Just fill in an application form at the centre and bring along the documents that prove you are eligible. We will check everything and set up your card.

Membership concessions

To apply for a concessionary membership you will need to bring proof of your concession entitlement either when signing up for a membership in person or, if you join online, on your first visit to centre when you collect your membership card.
