Lifeguard training
We offer the national pool lifeguard qualification through the Royal Lifesaving Society. You will need this if you would like to work for us. We run several training courses across our sites throughout the year.
What you will need
You must be 16, or will be at the time of taking the assessment, before starting the training must be able to meet the following basic fitness criteria:
- jump or dive into deep water
- swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
- swim 100 metres continuously on your front and back in deep water
- tread water for 30 seconds
- surface dive to the floor of the pool
- climb out unaided without using the ladder or steps

First-aid qualification
We offer first-aid qualifications to individuals and to the organisation where you work.
The qualifications are:
- full first-aid at work qualifications and re-qualifications
- emergency first-aid at work
- emergency aid
- first-aid to help babies and children
- standalone defibrillator courses
- EpiPen use
