In North Yorkshire every professional working with or engaging with children and families, regardless of organisation, status or position has a responsibility to deliver Early Help and support the family to access appropriate services to enable positive parenting. Early Help can be provided by a range of staff in different organisations, such as health services, schools, early year’s providers and a range of voluntary, community and faith sector services. Early Help is the term used by all agencies to describe North Yorkshire’s approach to providing early support to families so that children, young people and their families are safe, happy and ready for school, work and life’s challenges. Early Help is the right help, at the right time, in the right place.

Children and Family Hubs
Our children and family hubs are located across the county and provide services for children and young people aged 0-19 and their families.
Some of our activities are free, others need to be booked in advance and some are by invitation or referral only.

Hambleton children and family hubs
Thirsk children and family hub
Location, parking and accessibility
The children and family hub is located at Thirsk Community Primary School. Please follow the green fence round to the right hand side of the school to find the entrance.
The children and family hub has a disabled parking bay should this be required. All other hub users should park on Hambleton Place and walk to the hub. The hub is easily accessible to all users.

Harrogate and Knaresborough children and family hubs
Harrogate Bilton children and family hub
Location, parking and accessibility
Bilton children and family hub is located on Woodfield Road in the grounds of Woodfield Primary School. Turn off Skipton Road, go over two speed bumps and the school is on the right. There is limited on-site parking and full disabled access. If the on-site parking is full there is on street parking with level access to the hub.

Knaresborough children and family hub is located on Manor Road (previously Manor Infant School), just off the High Street (A59) in Knaresborough. There is limited on-site parking and full disabled access.

Colburn children and family hub is located along a row of shops just off the main road known as The Broadway. We are located within the Colburn library entrance. Our hub is around a five minute drive or a ten minute walk from Catterick Garrison and about a five minute drive from Catterick Racecourse.
There is a public car park, which can be used by visitors, at the front of the hub just off the main road. The car park is free and spaces are available for disabled access. The car park is also CCTV monitored. The hub is fully accessible and has a lift facility for those requiring it.

Ripon and rural Harrogate children and family hubs
Ripon and rural Harrogate children and family hub
Location, parking and accessibility
Ripon and rural Harrogate children and family hubis currently operating from outreach venues in the Ripon area and also at Nidderdale children and family hub in Pateley Bridge.

Norton Children and Family Hub is in the grounds of Norton Community Primary School. We do not have on-site parking; however, families can park close to the hub. Please be courteous to our residential neighbours when parking, and also be cautious of children around school start / finish times.
Briercliffe Children & Family Hub is based at the centre of the community on Briercliffe, opposite the play area. Parking is available on the surrounding streets, please note these areas get busy at times.

Ourspace Children & Family Hub is based on Moor Lane, adjacent to George Pindar School and Pindar Leisure Centre. A large car park is available at the shopping precinct just behind Proudfoots supermarket otherwise you can park either on the side road towards Eastfield Library or outside Eastfield Children and Family Hub on Link Walk.

Selby North children and family hub is on the site of Selby Community Primary School, Flaxley Road, Selby. It is within walking distance of the town centre.
Parking at the hub is for staff only. There is on-street parking in local streets around the hub. The building is easily accessible to all. Selby North children and family hub is on one level and accessible toilets and baby change facilities are available.

Sherburn children and family hub is a satellite site and is attached to the Sherburn library which is situated behind a parade of shops on Finkle Hill.
There is no parking available at the children and family hub but there are parking spaces in the village. There is also short stay car parking in the Co-Op store for a maximum of two hours. Please ensure you take care in coming to and from both centres. Be aware of cars passing quickly and a build-up of incoming and outgoing traffic during school drop off and pick up times.

The Children and Family Hub is located on Byland Road, next to Stakesby Primary School and not far from Spring Hill Medical Centre. Roadside parking is available on Byland Road.
