Safeguarding children

We have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in need and to promote the upbringing of such children by their families.

Professionals, families, and members of the public can report concerns for children or to request support using our online forms.

Worried about a child?

Where there are significant immediate concerns about the safety of a child, professionals should contact the police on 999.

Find out what to do if you are worried about a child.

For all other concerns about a child or children, let us know using our online form. Use this form if you are a family member, friend, neighbour, or a member of the public. If you need to, you can remain anonymous.
