Blue Badge Scheme
The blue badge scheme provides parking concessions to disabled people with mobility and medical problems.
The blue badge scheme is a national offer and has set criteria, including automatic eligibility if you receive the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or score above 8 points on the moving around element of Personal independence Payment (PIP).
Since 2019 people with hidden disabilities are also invited to apply, however this is not a condition specific process and further evidence will be required for the local authority to make a decision.
