Originally a service provider within the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area, we changed our name to Carers Plus Yorkshire Ltd in July 2021 - this change happened as we extended our support into the East Riding, Hambleton and Richmondshire. Now with a wider footprint, we are delighted to be supporting more communities and individuals across a significant geographical area.

Parents and Carers of Special Children (POSCH)

POSCH is a small charity supporting parents and families of children with additional and special needs who live in the Hambleton, Richmondshire and surrounding areas. They promote parent to parent support, provide a safe and confidential space for parents to chat and offer signposting to other key agencies in the area.

Kids is a national charity that offers a wide range of services across the UK to disabled children, young people and their families. These services include information, advice and family support; play and social; and learning and development.

As part of this, a project is being run called the Community of experience. The aim of this project is to offer peer support, resources and signposting to improve wellbeing of parents and/or carers as well as those aged up to 25 with a learning disability, autism or both.

Little People UK strives to bring solutions to global awareness to the prominent issues affecting individuals of short stature and their families and provide information and resources to see the community and the medical profession.
