Vision for the future of Easingwold

Find out about the proposed investment priorities for Easingwold.

We are developing a Town Investment Plan (TIP) for Easingwold as part of a regeneration programme across 32 towns in the county. The plan will help guide future funding bids by ensuring they are targeted to local priorities.

This work is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and receives funding from the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Easingwold is an historic market town that serves as a local hub for surrounding villages. It offers a good range of independent retailers and places to eat and drink as well as communal facilities including the Galtres Community Centre, library and sports facilities. There are also footpaths, cycle ways and parks as well as the open-air market which takes place every Friday in the town square and the farmers market on the third Wednesday of every month.

We are working with local groups such as Easingwold and District Community Care and the Easingwold Community Partnership as well as the wider community to develop a Town Investment Plan. This plan will look at what is needed for the town over the next five years, building on priorities identified in previous plans including the most recent work by the Community Partnership.

We will be holding public drop-in events to talk about the Town Investment Plan. Further details on these events will follow shortly.
