We are developing a Town Investment Plan (TIP) for Tadcaster as part of a regeneration programme across 32 towns in the county. The plans will help guide future funding bids by ensuring they are targeted to local priorities.
This work is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and receives funding from the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Tadcaster, located on the River Wharfe, is well-known for its long-standing links to the brewing industry. With it being located on the A64, it provides good access to Leeds, York and the coast. The town also benefits from a strong voluntary and community sector with facilities including a swimming pool, youth centre and community transport alongside an active business forum which supports the High Street offer.
Have your say
To make sure each investment plan reflects local priorities we are inviting residents, business owners and visitors to share their views on their local town and how you think it could be improved.
Paper versions are available from:
- Tadcaster Town Council Offices, The Ark, 33 Kirkgate, Tadcaster
- Tadcaster Library, 8 Station Road, Tadcaster
- The Barn, St Joseph’s Street, Tadcaster
- Tadcaster Volunteer Community Support Association, Kirkgate, Tadcaster
The closing date of the survey is Monday 27 July.
