We are consulting residents of Dunsforths parish about the future governance of Dunsforths parish meeting. The parish have asked the council to review their current boundaries and undertake a community governance review (CGR) to consider a merger with a neighbouring parish in order to ensure that parish level governance arrangements continue to operate as effectively as possible. A 12 week stage one public consultation ended in December 2025 for Dunsforths. The results of this consultation have been analysed and the recommendation for this parish council is listed below:
Recommendation 1 – that the CGR does not progress to stage 2 and electoral arrangements remain as they currently are.
