Vision for Pickering

Find out about the proposed investment priorities for Pickering.

We are developing a Town Investment Plan for Pickering as part of a regeneration programme across 32 towns in the county. The plans will help guide future funding bids by ensuring they are targeted to local priorities.

This work is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and receives funding from the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

The Vision for Pickering TIP is being coordinated by a steering group consisting of North Yorkshire Council, York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, Pickering Town Council and Pickering Town Community Interest Company.

Pickering is a picturesque market town and civil parish in North Yorkshire, nestled at the foot of the North York Moors. With a population of around 7000 it's steeped in history and heritage and is a vibrant market town.
