Out of hours and appointment-only access

The Castle and Courthouse Museum is open seasonally but we welcome school groups and collections-based enquiries all year.

We take weather into account when considering these requests as parts of the site can be slippery and waterlogged at times. Staff meet individuals on-site to accommodate requests to see any items on display off-season.

We welcome requests for appointment-only access at any time but access is granted on a case by case basis. We accept telephone or email enquiries at museums.har@northyorks.gov.uk which we then follow up individually.
