Peasholm Park and Glen

Peasholm Park is a fundamental element of Scarborough’s North Bay tourist experience. With its oriental theme, pagoda, lake and waterfalls, Peasholm is a beautiful park, treasured by many generations of visitors. There are many attractions such as boating, golf, naval warfare battles and musical shows. Explore the magic of Peasholm Glen where a myriad of rare and interesting trees can be found.

Attraction opening times and prices

Boat deck

Enjoy pedalos and rowing boats on the lake.

Opening times

The boat deck is open on different days depending on the time of year.

Dates for 2026 Opening days
28 March to 12 April Open every day
18 April to 17 May Open weekends only, including bank holidays
23 May to 6 September Open every day
12 September to 27 September Open weekends only
24 October to 1 November Open every day
From 2 November Closed until Easter 2027

Prices

  • boat for one person - £4.40
  • boat for two or three people - £7.50
  • boat for four or five people - £12

Naval warfare show

The naval warfare show takes place at 3pm on the following days:

  • 27 June - Armed Forces Day Special
  • Saturdays throughout July
  • every Monday and Thursday from 20 July onwards
  • every Monday, Thursday and Saturday throughout August until the last show on 31 August

The tranquil lake transforms into a battle zone as 20-foot replica warships recreate a thrilling sea battle, complete with explosions, smoke and sound effects. Perfect for all ages, this unique event brings history to life with captivating storytelling.

  • adult - £5.50
  • under 16s - £2.50
  • family (two adults and two under 16s) - £14.50

Mini golf

Prices

Peasholm mini golf is available every day from 4 July to 6 September. It costs £4.30 per person, per round with a £2 deposit for hiring clubs.

Putting costs £3.30 per person, per round for both the Peasholm and Holbeck putting.

The Ocean Drive (Filey) themed golf costs £4.40 per person, per round or a family ticket, for two adults and two under 16s, costs £11.50.
