Newall with Clifton Parish Council - CGR

We are consulting residents of Newall with Clifton Parish Council. Due to a lack of residents willing to become parish councillors, we are undertaking a community governance review to ensure that parish level governance arrangements are operating as effectively as possible. Newall with Clifton Parish Council has not been functioning since September 2022.

This means that there are no councillors to attend parish meetings. Mid Wharfedale is a neighbouring grouped parish council comprised of five individual parishes. It is represented by 11 councillors. Mid Wharfedale Parish Council has expressed an interest in taking on the area of Newall with Clifton Parish Council, as councillors feel that the area fits in well with Mid Wharfedale and has a shared community identity.

You are invited to have your say as part of this consultation. You can do this by completing the survey below, or you can request a paper copy of the survey by contacting the council on cgr@northyorks.gov.uk or by phone on 0300 131 2131.

The closing date for the survey is 22 December 2025.
