Liberal Democrat candidate elected following by-election result

The Liberal Democrat party candidate, Andrew Timothy, has become the new member for the Stray, Woodlands and Hookstone Division.

He took 43.8 per cent of the votes in yesterday’s by-election (Thursday, 11 April). There was a turnout of 41 per cent.

The result was:

  • Gillian Charters, Green Party: 376 votes.
  • John Ennis, Conservative Party: 768 votes.
  • Geoffrey Foxall, Labour Party: 116 votes.
  • Jonathan Swales, Reform UK Party: 141 votes.
  • Andrew Timothy, Liberal Democrats: 1,094 votes.

The election was held following the resignation of the former councillor.
