Pay less to travel by bus

Until 31 March 2027, a single bus journey on all eligible bus routes run by participating operators will cost no more than £3 thanks to Government funding. If you're 18 or under you'll only pay £1 for a single journey on most bus routes. The temporary fare cap does not change the concessionary fare scheme or impact free travel. Find out more about the temporary £3 Bus Fare Cap.

Real time travel information

Real time information removes the uncertainty a passenger feels when waiting at a bus stop, by providing the arrival time of the next bus.

Buses are tracked using satellites to pinpoint their location. It is then calculated how long each bus will take to arrive at your stop.

Accessing real time information

You can access real time information from a computer or mobile phone with internet access. Visit the Next buses mobile website to view live real time information if available. If this is not available the website will display scheduled times.

Traveline

You can use traveline to plan journeys across the UK, and allows you to plan a journey using buses, trains, metros and ferries, displaying where you need to board, at what time, and if there are any changes.
