I, Janet Waggott, being the Police Area Returning Officer, at the election for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for the North Yorkshire Police Area, do hereby give notice that the number of valid first preference votes recorded for each candidate at the said election is as follows:

No candidate has received more than 50% of the valid first preference votes cast in the election. The contest will therefore proceed to the counting of second preference votes, with Zoe Estelle Appleton-Metcalfe and Emma Nicole Scott-Spivey remaining in the contest.
