There are no changes to commercial waste collections countywide, apart from Harrogate, where collections will take place one day later due to the bank holiday on Monday 4 May.

Although the buildings may be closed, you can still use North Yorkshire’s free digital library. There are thousands of free eBooks and eAudio books, as well as eNewspapers, eMagazines and eComics available to borrow, and you can consult a wide range of free reference resources, day and night.

Our household waste recycling centres will be open over the May bank holiday.
They are open every day except Wednesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Opening hours from April to September are 8:30am to 5pm. Please allow enough time to unload your waste before the site closes.
