New subscriptions for 2023/24 have now closed. You can apply for a licence for the 2024 service in February 2024.
The 2023/24 garden waste service for residents in the Selby area runs until Friday 1 March 2024. There are no collections from Tuesday 12 December to Friday 5 January so crews can focus on collecting extra waste presented over the Christmas period.
More information about the scheme is on the Selby garden waste scheme frequently asked questions page.
You can pay for additional garden waste bins - each bin will need a licence.
Licence stickers for 2023/24 service
You must display a licence sticker on each bin to be collected. Stick it to a clean and dry section on the back of your green bin, on the handle side. We won’t empty your green bin unless it has a valid sticker licence.
The garden waste licence is only valid for the property for which it was originally bought. It cannot be transferred.
Contact us to report a lost, stolen or damaged licence and we will send you a replacement.
