Board membership
The board brings together a range of expertise from both within and outside the council. Members include senior leaders, independent specialists and tenant representatives who can provide challenge, insight and support to help drive lasting improvement.
This mix of experience helps ensure that decisions are robust, evidence-based and focused on delivering better outcomes for tenants and residents.
Listening to tenants
Tenants are at the heart of our improvement journey. The Board is committed to ensuring that tenant feedback, experiences and priorities are reflected in the work it oversees.
Information from tenant engagement activities, performance monitoring, complaints, surveys and scrutiny arrangements helps shape improvement priorities and measure progress.
Our improvement journey
We are committed to creating a modern, consistent and tenant-focused housing service. Through the work of the Housing Improvement Board, we are strengthening governance, improving services and building confidence that homes are safe, services are effective and tenants are listened to.
Improvement is not a single project. It is an ongoing commitment to learning, accountability and delivering the best possible outcomes for the people who live in our homes.
