The neighbourhood and communities local standard outlines what you can expect in relation to your neighbourhood and communal areas. We will also explain how we will keep you informed.
We will do the following to ensure that your neighbourhood is a safe and pleasant place to live:
- Work together with you and our partners to resolve neighbourhood issues.
- Support community initiatives and activities to deter and prevent anti-social behaviour in our neighbourhoods.
- Deliver updates on changes that will affect you from other Council departments through the website and newsletter. We will ask you for regular feedback on our services and use this to make improvements.
Communal areas
We will:
- Agree a standard of grounds maintenance around your home.
- Meet with other council departments to ensure that standards are maintained and meet your requirements.
- Invite your feedback on the performance of council departments and the effectiveness of our service so improvements can be made.
Your neighbourhood
We will:
- Regularly inspect the grounds and communal areas of your neighbourhood and resolve any issues that do not meet our standards.
- Work with our colleagues in environmental protection to reduce dog fouling in your area.
