The purpose of the heritage impact assessment is to inform the site allocation process of the Selby district local plan.
The assessment process sets out for each allocation:
- an identification of the heritage assets affected and their importance
- assesses the contribution a site provides in its present form to the significance of the identified assets.
- identifies the impact of a site allocation on the significance of heritage assets
- considers mitigation measures to prevent harm and maximize enhancement
