Help applying for a bus pass

Libraries across North Yorkshire are now offering free one-to-one support to help residents apply online for an older persons or disabled persons bus pass.

Whether you are unfamiliar with online forms or just need a bit of guidance, library staff and volunteers are here to assist.

Weekly sessions are available at:

  • Ripon - Mondays from 10am to midday
  • Knaresborough - Mondays from 2pm until 3pm
  • Pickering - Tuesdays from 1pm until 3pm
  • Malton - Tuesdays from 1:30pm until 4:30pm
  • Selby - Tuesdays from 2pm until 4pm
  • Northallerton - Wednesdays from 2pm until 4pm
  • Whitby - Thursdays from 2pm until 5pm
  • Scarborough – Fridays from 2pm until 4pm
  • Skipton - fortnightly on Wednesdays from midday until 4pm

Booking is essential. Contact your local library to reserve a slot.

What to bring

  • a digital passport-style photo (clear, full-face)
  • proof of age and address
  • a valid email address
