Help applying for a bus pass

Some libraries in North Yorkshire offer free one-to-one support to help you apply for a bus pass online.

If you are not confident with online forms or just need some guidance, staff and volunteers at some of our libraries are here to help.

Support with bus passes and Blue Badge applications is only available by appointment. You need to contact your local library to make sure they can help and to arrange an appointment.

What to bring to your appointment

You will need:

  • a clear digital passport style photograph that shows your full face - if you do not have this, we can take a photograph for you
  • proof of age and address
  • a valid email address - if you do not have an email address, you need to contact us for help by phone
  • evidence for your conditions if you are applying for a disabled person's bus pass

Find out more and check if you are eligible on our older person's bus pass page and disabled person's bus pass page.
