To celebrate the range of acts who will be performing, we’re giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to see either veteran music icon Sir Tom Jones or hip-hop favourites, The Streets, led by frontman Mike Skinner.

Sir Tom will return to the Yorkshire coast this summer for a headline show as part of his 2026 Come Gather Round tour.

The Welsh singer will take to the stage at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday 26 July. He will be joined on the night by British soul favourites Stone Foundation.

Sir Tom will make a return to the venue, his fifth performance at the UK’s largest open-air theatre, following his sold-out show in 2024.

Over a career spanning more than six decades, Sir Tom has sold more than 100 million records.

Knighted for services to music by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, the 85-year-old’s hits including It’s Not Unusual, What’s New Pussycat?, Delilah, and Green, Green Grass of Home.

The Streets will be performing their landmark album, A Grand Don’t Come For Free, for the first time in its entirety across an exclusive run of shows in the UK throughout 2026.

They will be heading to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Saturday 1 August.

Originally released in 2004, A Grand Don’t Come For Free remains one of the most important and influential British albums of the 21st century.

Entering the UK charts at No.1, the record went multi-platinum and included singles including Dry Your Eyes, Fit But You Know It and Blinded By The Lights.

Since its reopening back in 2010, the Scarborough Open Air Theatre has seen performances from some of the biggest names in music.

The venue in the North Yorkshire resort has played host to a host of stars including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Noel Gallagher, Elton John and Bryan Adams.

More than one million tickets have now been sold for shows at the North Yorkshire Council-owned venue since it was refurbished and re-opened to the public in 2010.

The venue’s promoters, Cuffe and Taylor, have revealed 160,000 tickets have already been sold for this summer’s season - beating the previous record by 35,000 tickets.

Last summer’s run of 18 shows - with headliners including Will Smith, Gary Barlow and The Smashing Pumpkins - boosted the local economy by £8.8 million.

Winners of the tickets to see Anastasia and The Kooks in Scarborough competition in the March edition of Your North Yorkshire

Winner of Anastasia tickets: Helen Goodwin, Northallerton

“It was a lovely surprise to read the email telling me I’d won tickets to see Anastasia at Scarborough Open Air Theatre. I had a couple of Anastasia’s CDs in the early noughties and have enjoyed listening to them and reminiscing since learning I would be going to her concert. I’m excited and look forward to listening to her more recent music as I’m sure she’ll give a great performance.”

Winner of The Kooks tickets: Dan Brown, Thirsk

“I enter competitions all the time but never win! So it's a big shock, but I am really looking forward to seeing The Kooks. I saw them at the Leeds Festival last year and I’ve been a fan since I heard one of their songs on the soundtrack for the FIFA 09 computer game. I’ve been to the Open Air Theatre a few times, it’s a great venue that is very intimate for the size of the acts it hosts.”
