Knaresborough Leisure and Wellbeing Hub opening times

The centre is open seven days a week.

Swimming pool opening times

  • Monday to Thursday - 6:30am until 9pm
  • Friday - 6:30am until 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday - 6:30am until 7pm

Gym opening times

  • Monday to Thursday - 6:15am until 9:30pm
  • Friday - 6:15am until 7:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday - 6:15am until 6:30pm

Sauna and steam experience opening times

  • Monday to Wednesday - 7am until 9pm
  • Thursday - 8am until 9pm
  • Friday - 7am until 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday - 7am until 7pm

Cafe opening times

  • Monday to Friday - 7am until 7pm
  • Saturday and Sunday - 7am until 4pm

Bank holiday opening times

The centre is also open on all bank holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day with the swimming pool, sauna and cafe all open from 7am to 4pm and the gym open from 6:45am to 4pm.

Facilities at Knaresborough Leisure and Wellbeing Hub

This fantastic leisure and wellbeing hub offers you:

  • a 25 metre six lane pool with safety cameras
  • an activity pool with flume
  • a 60-station fitness suite with the latest Technogym connected equipment
  • a spacious lifting area with free weights, plate-loaded machines and cable resistance machines
  • stretching areas for recovery
  • an immersive group cycling studio
  • poolside viewing
  • a sauna and steam room
  • changing facilities
  • a cafe with a viewing area for the swimming pool and plenty of seating
  • children's outdoor play area

We also have facilities for those with disabilities including:

  • level access throughout the facility with a passenger lift to access the first floor
  • a wet and dry changing places changing room, one provides a full room lifting hoist and shower bed
  • stepped and ladder access to the pools with a pool pod and lift platform designed for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility
  • reserved parking

Location

Knaresborough Leisure and Wellness Centre is located on King James Road, Knaresborough, HG5 8EB.

Parking and how to get here

Parking

We have a small car park on site which is controlled by a barrier which will let you in automatically but you will need to enter a code to exit. The code can be found located around the centre so please remember to check before you leave.

If the car park is full alternative parking can be found in the pay and display at York Place car park. This car park is located opposite the leisure centre or on-street parking is available on the roads close to the centre.

Walking

From the town centre head southeast up the High Street and follow the route of the main A59 road.

Cycling

We have a large number of covered cycle racks located outside the front of the facility, you will need to bring your own bike lock.

Bus

The main bus station is only 250 metres away in Knaresborough town centre and a but stop for local routes is located on the road right outside the centre.

Train

Knaresborough train station is located 550 metres away at the lower end of the High Street.

We ask customers to remove their shoes before entering the changing village. If this affects your balance and stability, please leave them on.

Information for customers who have autism or sensory difficulties

  • we have a box of puzzles, drawing books and toys behind reception, you are welcome to use these if you feel anxious or need a distraction
  • reception can be busy with queueing during peak periods
  • the pool hall can be a little noisy during busy periods
  • lifeguards use whistles to attract people's attention
  • if we plan to test the fire alarm, an announcement will be made beforehand
