The garden waste service for residents in the Craven area runs until the end of November and then starts again in March. There are no collections in December, January or February.
A subscription for the 2023 service costs £43.50.
You can join the garden waste scheme at any time during the year, but you will still have to pay the full fee.
The garden waste licence is only valid for the property for which it was originally bought for. It cannot be transferred.
We can accept most standard green and garden waste. Find out what types of garden waste we can and cannot collect.
Check if you are eligible to join
Unfortunately we can’t include all properties in the Craven area on the garden waste collection service. You can compost garden waste at home instead or take it your local household waste recycling centre free of charge.

We will contact you to confirm whether you can join the service.
Pay for your garden waste subscription
Pay for and renew your garden waste subscription for the 2023 to 2024 season. You will need your 8 digit reference number which can be found on your renewal letter.
Pay for your garden waste subscription
Once you’ve paid you'll receive a confirmation letter and a licence sticker for each bin. Contact us if you don't receive your licence sticker within 14 days of subscribing.
You must display a licence sticker on each bin to be collected. Stick it to a clean and dry section on the back of your brown bin (the handle side). Remove last year’s licence sticker from the bin before adding the new one. We won’t empty a brown bin unless it has a valid sticker licence.
Report a lost, stolen or damaged garden waste licence and we’ll send you a replacement.
If you don’t want to resubscribe you can ask us to remove your brown bin.
Garden waste bins are collected every two weeks. Put your bin out ready for collection at 6.30am on your collection day. Find your garden waste collection day.
