Notice of casual vacancy in Knaresborough division

Due to the resignation of Councillor Nicola Faris,  notice is hereby given under Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972 (pdf / 8 KB) that a casual vacancy exists in the office of County Councillor for the division of Knaresborough in the Borough of Harrogate.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held within 35 days (computed in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972) following written notice requesting an election being received by me from two local government electors of Harrogate Borough Council.
