Fylingdales Moor fire response reports
Major wildfire report outlines steps to boost preparedness and protect communities
A review of the way agencies worked together to tackle North Yorkshire’s worst wildfire sets out a roadmap designed to support an even stronger emergency response in the future. The report from the North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum is the result of detailed evidence gathering and feedback on the multi-agency response to the Fylingdales Moor fire in summer 2025. Its recommendations are designed to strengthen how agencies prepare for and respond to major incidents in the future, particularly in the face of the threats from global warming.
Importantly the report also ensures ownership of all learning so that it can be embedded in the forum’s work looking ahead.
