Adoption All kinds of children need adopting - from toddlers and young school-age children to siblings who need to stay together. Young carers - support and advice Young carers are people under 18 who offer substantial, regular, help to a family member who has a disability, mental health, drug or alcohol issue. Short breaks for disabled children and young people Short breaks are available to families to provide a break from caring for a disabled child and for the child to have a break from their carers.
