Apply for general animal welfare licences including animal boarding, hiring of horses and licences for breeding and exhibiting animals.
You should apply for a licence no later than ten weeks before the current licence is due to expire.
A licence will last for either one, two or three years. Licences will be issued according to the risk score and star rating of the premises. These are determined by an inspection by a qualified inspector. Find out about animal licensing inspections, risks and star ratings.
