We offer a bulky waste collection service in the Craven area. We charge for this service.

We can collect:

We cannot collect:

  • car and motor parts, such as tyres 
  • cast iron metals, such as pipes or baths

  • domestic waste, such as food waste 
  • doors 
  • fence panels 
  • fireplaces and surrounds 
  • garage doors made of wood or metal 
  • gas bottles 
  • glass from greenhouses or windows

Collection charges 

  • £36 for up to 3 items
  • an extra £11.50 per additional item

Collecting 6 or more items will be charged at an hourly rate. Contact us for a quote.

What we class as an item: 

  • bed base, mattress and headboard is 3 items 
  • dining table and 4 chairs is 5 items 
  • three-piece suite is 3 items 
  • two-piece suite is 2 items

Book a bulky waste collection

Contact us to book a bulky waste collection or call in at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton BD23 1FJ.

We will ask you for: 

  • your name, address and telephone number 
  • a precise list of items for collection and their location 
  • a date from when the items will be available for collection 
  • your payment details if paying by credit or debit card 

We will book a collection day for your items. We cannot give you an exact time for collection. Collections must be paid for in advance. We can’t give you a refund. 

Only in exceptional circumstances will we enter private property. The resident must be present and will be asked to sign an insurance disclaimer for any accidental damage that may be caused. 

What to do before your collection day 

You should: 

  • make sure bulky waste is outside, but within your property boundary, by 6.30am on the day of collection 
  • carpets, underlay or lino should be rolled up or cut up and bagged 
  • protect items from the weather. We may not be able to collect very heavy waterlogged furniture or carpets. Cover sofas and mattresses with plastic sheeting where possible 

Changing your booking 

Contact us if you need to add extra items to your booking. We may not be able to collect extra bulky waste on very busy days.
