Garden waste

You can recycle household garden waste at all household waste recycling centres.

Household garden waste should be placed in the garden waste skip, where it will be shredded and composted.

Disposal of DIY waste (including turf) is free, but there are restrictions on size and amounts that can be brought in, and the number of visits you can make each week.

Find out about free DIY disposal and additional charges on the waste that we make a charge for page.

Commercial garden waste is also accepted, but there is a charge for this.

Home composting is an inexpensive, natural process that transforms your kitchen and garden waste into a valuable and nutrient rich food your garden will love.
