Boroughbridge Town Investment Plan
We are developing a Town Investment Plan (TIP) for Boroughbridge as part of a regeneration programme across 32 towns in the county. This will help guide future funding bids aligned to local priorities.
Supported by the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith and part-funded by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, the programme will build on Boroughbridge’s strengths as a historic market town on the River Ure, known for its heritage, riverside setting and welcoming independent high street.
The key themes expected to feature in the Town Investment Plan include:
- improving the vitality of the town centre and enabling enterprise
- active travel and climate resilience
- the use of cultural and heritage assets and public realm
- enabling people to have healthier lives
Further information is available on our vision for the future of Boroughbridge page.
To make sure each investment plan reflects local priorities we are inviting residents, business owners and visitors to share their views on their local town and how you think it could be improved.
- Boroughbridge TIP survey - deadline Tuesday 30 June
- Public consultation events:
Saturday 6 June, 10am to 12pm, Boroughbridge Library
Wednesday 17 June, 3pm to 5pm, Boroughbridge Methodist Church
There is no need to book. Please come along to whichever session is convenient.
Paper versions of the survey are available from Boroughbridge Town Council or Boroughbridge Library.
Community groups play a vital role in spreading the word and encouraging local participation. You can help by:
- sharing the survey link
- promoting the drop-in engagement sessions
- encouraging group members to share their views
- feeding back any insights or concerns from your community.
Your support will help ensure Boroughbridge’s future reflects the voices of those who live, work and visit here.
