As the newly appointed Senior Business Advisor for Harrogate and Knaresborough, Michael’s primary role is to promote and support business growth and the economic potential of North Yorkshire, and he works with colleagues, partners and key stakeholders to help deliver our Economic Growth Strategy. Michael takes the lead responsibility for delivering a bespoke one to one business engagement and support service to the businesses of the Harrogate and Knaresborough constituency.

Michael has a wealth of experience within the public sector and can help businesses navigate their way around various departments. Relatively new to our team, he is keen to meet businesses and offer them support to achieve their goals.

Knaresborough Business Collective Business Awards

The Knaresborough Business Awards 2025 will take place on Saturday 16 August at Henshaws, Bond End from 6.30pm.

Tickets are £55 per person which includes:

  • BBQ dinner and desserts

  • entertainment

New venue for Knaresborough

Brew York has announced the opening of a second of its Brew+ food and drink concepts. Brew+Bao: Knaresborough opened in May at the base of the Mitre, right next to Knaresborough Railway Station.

The new venue will serve up Asian fusion street food from YUZU Street Food of York, alongside a rotating lineup of craft beers from Brew York and guest breweries.

With six+ taps, curated wines, spirits and cocktails, and a high-energy, laid-back atmosphere, Brew+Bao: Knaresborough promises to be a new go-to destination for foodies, beer lovers and socialisers alike.

The Great Yorkshire Show

The 166th Great Yorkshire Show will take place on Tuesday 8 until Friday 11 July at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate.

Planning is well underway for the next show where visitors can expect to see the best animals in the country competing, alongside national breed shows, machinery, food and first-class entertainment to celebrate the best of farming, foods and the countryside.
