Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) helps understand and identify the needs of children and young people with SEND.

This report is the second edition of the SEND Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and provides an overview of activity during 2023. It was produced collaboratively across the local area, led by the SEND Joint Commissioning Group. The report draws on data and intelligence from a wide range of partners, including children, young people and families.

Activity will continue to be monitored and the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment will be reviewed and updated on a three-year cycle. Each edition will reflect progress made by partners as we move forward. The next edition is scheduled for publication in Spring 2027.
