Schools in North Yorkshire
Most children's needs can be met in a mainstream school or enhanced mainstream provision. This means that children can go to school in their community.
If a child or young person's need cannot be met in a mainstream school or setting with the involvement of the SEND hubs, they may require a special school place. Except in very rare circumstances, special schools take pupils with an education, health and care plan (EHCP).

- Hambleton Richmondshire Locality Board
- Scarborough Whitby Ryedale Locality Board
- Selby Locality Board
Each board shares the aim of maximising outcomes and promoting inclusivity for children and young people aged from 0 to 25 years old.
