Council Tax payment arrangements

If you have received a Final Notice, Summons or Liability order and want to make an arrangement to pay the arrears please use the payment proposal form payment proposal form to suggest a payment plan.

If we have suggested a payment arrangement to you following a Summons or Liability Order and you cannot afford this tell us about your income and household spend and suggest an alternative payment arrangement. 

Before you start

You will need to tell us details of your monthly income, such as:

• wages
• benefits
• child benefits

You must also tell us about any household contributions from other adults in your home, such as:

• partners
• children
• parents
• lodgers

We will also ask you to give us your:

• council tax reference number
• employment details and payroll number
• benefits entitlement
• National Insurance number
• pension details

We will also ask you to tell us how much you spend on household bills, such as:

• rent
• mortgage payments
• food
• travel costs
• loans savings
• other spending

Tell us about your income and household spend
