We can carry out planned repairs and programmed replacements in your home when we can't complete the repair on a normal 28 day order.
We need to plan for these works to be completed to make sure that we organise the works fully and that we can complete them within our repair budgets.
Planned repairs
Planned repairs are larger or high cost repairs. These could include:
- extensive plastering and rendering
- floor repairs
- brickwork and wall repairs
- fencing and gate repairs
- pointing repairs
- guttering, fascias and soffit repairs
- Insulation top-up
- path repairs
- drainage repairs
- cavity cleans
Programmed replacements
Programmed replacements are larger replacement items. These could include:
- kitchens
- bathrooms
- replacement roofs
- windows
- doors
Planned repair works that are agreed will be recorded on the council’s repair and maintenance system and released in batches to the appropriate repairs team. Once released for action, all repair works will have 10 weeks (70 calendar days) from the release date of the batch, to complete the works.
Planned repairs could take up to 24 months to be completed. You will receive updates in relation to any agreed and outstanding work via letter or email within the following timeframes:
- 14 days after any inspection to confirm what has been agreed
- updates every 3 months on outstanding work with estimated completion dates
