Scarborough Fair - throughout the year

The Scarborough Fair is a year-round programme of distinctive arts, heritage and sporting events at venues across the town. See full details on the Scarborough Fair website.

Scarborough Art - 15 June - 4 August 

An exciting new festival of exhibitions, installations and workshops at various venues across Scarborough highlighting the creativity of the town.

Scarborough Fringe - 21 June - 30 June

The town's first ever fringe festival will showcase theatre, music, comedy, spoken word, children's shows and a variety of other events and performances.

Northallerton May Fair

Northallerton May Fair is a traditional fair which took place on Northallerton High Street from 2 to 6 May. We work with the Showman's Guild of Great Britain Northern Section to bring the fair to the town.

Whitby Fish and Ships Festival

A celebration of Whitby’s rich fishing heritage including live cookery and fish craft demonstrations from top local chefs alongside live music from local bands and sea balladeers. The event took place on 18 and 19 May.

Filey Food Festival

Over 65 stalls will showcase the very best of Yorkshire food and drink as well as fantastic produce from outside the region and admission is free. The event took place on 8 and 9 June.

Taking place within the Evron Centre and Crescent Gardens, with superb views across Filey Bay, the popular event is a great day out for all.

Armed Forces Day - 29 June

The largest Armed Forces Day in Yorkshire, Scarborough honours the forces past, present and future and gives veterans and current service men and women a celebratory day out.

Scarborough Seafest Maritime Festival - 19 to 21 July

Scarborough’s annual maritime weekend celebration with a musical programme and local chef cooking demonstrations and street entertainment.

Ryedale Grasscrete Grand Prix - 18 August

We are supporting this race which begins and ends at Ampleforth Abbey, taking in the magnificent Abbey grounds with two circuits passing through the Howardian Hills National Landscape. Long Course Weekend - 6 to 8 September

We are partners in bringing the first edition of Long Course Weekend Yorkshire to Masham on the outskirts of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is expected to bring athletes from across the globe to compete over three days in swimming, cycling and running. Find out more on the Long Course Weekend Yorkshire website.

Scarborough Goldwings Light Parade - 14 September

Goldwing motorcycles sporting neon lights make a procession along the seafront before the night is closed out with a show-stopping fireworks display. We work in partnership with the organisers of the event, which is all in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Filey Kite Festival - 21 to 22 September

An annual event held on the stunning headland of Filey Brigg attracting some of the UK's best kite flyers, showcasing some of the brightest and most extravagant kites. This year there will be a food festival with a wide variety of of cuisines on offer.

Moonlight on the Lake - 25 to 26 October

Illuminated sculptures and lanterns created by Animated Objects will be installed on Peasholm Lake and throughout the park telling the story of the park and the wider town's history.

Autumn Daze - 30 October

A family day featuring bush craft demonstrations, storytelling, marshmallow toasting, primitive fire-starting and craft activities and a scavenger hunt.

Scarborough Sparkle - 29 November to 1 December

A festive family event in Scarborough's North Bay with fairground rides, festive stalls, delicious food and drinks and live music. The event opens with a lantern parade.
