Conyngham Hall is surrounded by an area of open parkland offering leisure activities, woodland and riverside walks.
The open grassland is enhanced by mature trees amid a number of seasonal bedding, herbaceous and shrub beds. Woodland areas close to the River Nidd provide a variety of nature walks and are ideal for spotting local wildlife.
Woodland walk
Yorkshire Driftwood, which offers support and creative development opportunities to young people with disabilities, has created a series of beautiful wooden sculptures in the woodland close to Bond End. There are a series of sculptures, on the theme of along the riverbank, inspired by the book The Wind in the Willows. In all, more than 250 people worked on the project, from volunteers to artists.

The refreshments hut and games facilities at Conyngham Hall, Knaresborough, are no longer under our management. To find out more information about the facilities, contact info@chainlane.org.
We are still responsible for all the ground maintenance within the grounds.
There is a small adventure trail and a woodland sculpture walk. There are also public toilets.
The grounds are open all year round. A pay and display car park is situated in the grounds at the riverside.
The grounds of Conyngham Hall are accessible to most but the entrance to the grounds is via a long gentle slope and there are steep steps in some places. There are toilets at the car park entrance.
