Falsgrave park was built for the community of Falsgrave.
Formerly named Spring Hill, this area runs deep in Scarborough's history.
The park accommodates two water springs that during the 14th century provided water for the Franciscan Friars of Scarborough and the inhabitants of the Old Town.
