Countryside and green space strategy

The countryside and green space strategy provide a strategic framework for the sustainable development and management of such assets in the district.

It follows national guidance and learning and complements the county-wide approach to countryside and green space management.

This strategy will also support other policy initiatives such as our local plan which in turn will help this strategy achieve its aims.

Fundamental to the development of this strategy has been the input from a range of partners and it is by continuing to adopt a partnership approach, involving all agencies with an interest in the countryside and green space that this strategy will be successfully implemented.

The strategy was approved by the executive on 5 December 2013.
