Local landscape designation review

A review of the locally important landscape areas for Selby district.

It describes the character and significance of our locally important landscape areas and sets out the criteria-based evaluation of the landscapes of Selby, identifying first areas of search and then refining these into candidate locally important landscape areas.

The document includes draft citations for each of the identified candidate locally important landscape areas, which provide justification for their selection and the qualities and features which require recognition.

The candidate areas identified in this report will be subject to consultation as part of the development plan process, prior to their adoption in future local plan documents.
