This permit is available for residents in need of substantial and regular care.
Price
Free.
Where you can use it
This permit can be used in all on-street parking in the Harrogate area.
How to apply
Apply for an attendance (carers) permit online
You can apply in person at the Civic Centre in Harrogate where one of our customer service advisors can help you complete the online form.
Proof required
Please supply either a letter from the carer's organisation showing proof of care required, or proof that the carer receives attendance allowance.
Doctor's permit
This permit is available for GPs practising surgery at an address in a resident zone.
Price
- One year: £36
- Two years: £72
Where you can use it
This permit can be used in all on-street parking in the Harrogate area.

Proof required
You must show evidence that you are a GP practising from a surgery at an address in a resident zone.
Healthcare permit
This is a parking exemption permit for healthcare professionals working for North Yorkshire council services, Harrogate based NHS staff or members of a nationally recognised organisation serving the physical or spiritual needs of residents living in more than one residential zone.
Price
- One year: £36
- Two years: £72
Where you can use it
This permit can be used in all on-street parking in the Harrogate area. It is only valid when attending a resident's home. It is not valid when attending drop-in centres, surgeries, meetings etc.
Parking time must not go over one hour.

Proof required
Proof from your employer is required. There must be a regular need for this exemption - at least once per day.
Changing permit details
You can change your permit details online. We will need proof of residency and vehicle ownership as above.
There is an administration charge of £24 for changing permit details.
