You can renew your permit online. Permits applied for online will be replied to within five working days, and from there will be issued within five working days of documents and any necessary payments being received

Discounted residents' permits renewals
If you qualify for a discounted permit you will be asked for proof that you are eligible at every renewal. Proof includes a driving licence or passport with your date of birth, or recent letters showing you are receiving benefits.
