We have a new online system for permit applications. You will need to make an account in our new system because your old log in details will not work.
New applications
If you are making a new permit application, you can create an account and use the new system.
Existing permits
If you already have a physical permit, you do not need to do anything. Existing permits are still valid and we will connect them to our new system over time.
If you recently got a renewal reminder email because your permit is due to expire soon, you can either make a new application in our new system or wait until your current permit is connected to our new system and renew it then. We will email you to let you know when you can do this.
There is a two week grace period during the transition between our systems, so your permit will still be valid while you arrange your renewal.
You can renew your permit online. Permits applied for online will be replied to within five working days, and from there will be issued within five working days of documents and any necessary payments being received.
Discounted residents' permits renewals
If you qualify for a discounted permit you will be asked for proof that you are eligible at every renewal. Proof includes a driving licence or passport with your date of birth, or recent letters showing you are receiving benefits.
